ÖnGar

Phase 1 demo liveInvestors

We are building the pre-order marketplace and its network of institutions.

ÖnGar is an e-commerce platform: it brings buyers and selling companies across Türkiye into one marketplace and secures every pre-order within a network of licensed partner institutions. For sales that take months to deliver, part of the buyer's payment (all of the part above the seller's limit) stays blocked at the partner institution, the seller is limited by its collateral and a failed delivery is refunded by instruction. The money never passes through ÖnGar; ÖnGar runs the flow, computes and records.

Opportunity

Prepayments exist; protection does not

Homes, machinery, pre-harvest produce, education, travel: wherever payment comes months before delivery, the guarantee is often the seller's word. ÖnGar closes that gap with a licensed institution's blocked account and the seller's collateral.

  • For the buyer: payments and damages come back if delivery fails.
  • For the seller: production is funded by the buyer's payment instead of credit.
  • For the institution: a new product line, new customers and funds that stay in-house.

Working today

Phase 1: an end-to-end working demo

Instead of slides, a live demo (read-only) that institutions' teams can explore themselves.

  • Calculation engine, identical to the original calculator: limit, blockage, refund and damages.
  • Buyer, seller and partner-institution operations panels.
  • Partner adapter interface; a mock bank in the demo.
  • Participation and conventional finance model, per institution.
  • Instalment sales and the monthly collection schedule (in the demo).
  • Living demo: many sellers and sectors, a new project every day.
  • AI assistant: questions by text or by voice.
  • Two rounds of security audits; an append-only ledger.

Business model

Revenue together with the partner

  • Transaction commission: on the sale price, shared between the platform and the partner institution; the split is set in the contract with the institution.
  • Instalment financing: with the partner institution's own rate card and model (participation or conventional).
  • Damages: neither a penalty nor interest; contractual damages paid to the buyer if delivery fails.

Roadmap

Three phases

  1. Live

    • Seller, buyer and partner operations panels
    • End-to-end flow with a mock partner adapter

    • Lawyer-approved contracts, data protection (KVKK), advisory board approval
    • Instalment collection at a real institution (working in the demo), currency conversion for imports

Simulation

Run the numbers yourself

Enter collateral, sale and cancellation rows or generate a random example: ÖnGar's calculation engine computes the commission income, the amount paid out to the seller, the cash blocked at the partner institution, whether the collateral is sufficient and what buyers get back if nothing is delivered.

ÖnGar simulator: a random sample scenario, the parameters (commission 4%, in-limit blockage 30%, over-limit blockage 100%, yearly indemnity 36%, delivery in month 24, payout 60 days after delivery) and collateral rows, next to the financial summary (commission income, amount paid out to the seller, payment breakdown) and the cash position and collateral (cash blocked, total collateral, limit, refund to buyers if nothing is delivered, collateral sufficient).(full-size image opens in a new tab)
The simulator: sample scenario and parameters; financial summary, cash position and collateral.
Assessment: the average funds held at the partner institution, the weighted average days and the average balance if delivered and if not delivered; the total of the whole process before and after delivery.(full-size image opens in a new tab)
Assessment: how much stays at the partner institution, and for how many days.

What comes next In the works

What you see is the first stage

The structure described here is the first part of a broader whole we are working on. The next stages:

  1. Lead institution modelA central institution coordinating how the partner institutions work together, similar to the role of Turkey's Credit Bureau (KKB) in credit records.
  2. More institutionsOther banks, participation banks and finance institutions connecting to the same infrastructure.
  3. Institutions abroadLinks with finance institutions abroad for cross-border prepaid sales.
  4. Trade in a common currencyBuyers and sellers in different countries trading in a common currency.
